Ssgt Joe Clark served 8 years in the US Marine Corps conducting amphibious assault, and security operations. Qualified by the USMC’s Special Operations Training Group, he was forward deployed with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable) in 2001. In this time he trained with military units from Spain, England, France, Italy, and Greece, and also provided overseas security operations before, during, and after 9/11. In March 2003 he participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom with the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force involved in combat operations. After returning from Iraq, he was assigned to Marine Forces UNITAS, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force and was deployed to South America. His unit was instrumental in training the Peruvian Marines in Anti-Terrorism Operations. After returning from UNITAS he was again deployed for 10 months to Japan where he was charged with creating and implementing new tactics, techniques, and procedures for pre-deployment training to a combat zone for his company. These tactics were put to the test when his unit was redeployed to Iraq as an infantry company from 2006 to 2007. While in Iraq, he conducted months of Cordon and Search, and Mobile Assault Operations, as well as training of the Iraqi Police. Joe is highly experienced in the real world tactical application of American and Eastern Block small, medium, and heavy weapons. He has been qualified to conduct operations involving the Tactical Rescue of Aircraft Personnel; Non-Combatant Evacuation Operations, Military Operations in Urban Terrain, Enemy Prisoner of War handling, Low- Light/No-Light Tactical Operations, Combined Assault Team and Quick Reaction Force Operations. His tactics have brought all the men under his command home every time he has deployed. Joe’s abilities have more than been proven under fire as he served with Eric, TSC’s President in over a dozen countries from 1999-2003. Eric and Joe were charged with the security of their battalion as it made its way to Baghdad in 2003. Joe’s most recent real world operational experience in amphibious assault, raids, and stealth and dynamic urban operations, under the most extreme conditions, is instrumental in aiding TSC recreate the “Fog of War” for its students, and giving them the tools and tactics that work.
